Effective date: August 31, 2026

1. Scope

This policy explains how US Citizenship Test, published under the Android package name com.uscitizentest, handles information.

2. Information stored on the device

The app stores study progress, submitted answers, mistakes, favorites, study streaks, self-ratings, and app settings locally on the user's device. This learning information is not sent to a server operated by the developer. The app does not require an account and does not ask for a name, phone number, email address, citizenship status, immigration status, Alien Registration Number, or other immigration case information.

If Android backup is enabled, local app data may be processed by Android backup services according to the user's device and Google account settings. Users can remove local learning data with the relevant reset controls in the app or by uninstalling the app.

3. Advertising and third-party services

The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner ads and an interstitial ad that may appear after a completed test and before its answer sheet. Depending on the user's region, device settings, and consent choices, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as IP address, device or app identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic data for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency capping, measurement, and reporting.

Where required, the Google User Messaging Platform asks for consent or advertising preferences. Available choices can be reviewed again under Settings > Advertising privacy in the app.

4. Permissions and information not accessed

The app may use an internet connection to display advertising. It does not access precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone data. The developer does not sell personal information collected through the app.

5. Sharing and retention

Local learning information is not shared with the developer or the advertising provider. Information processed by the advertising service is subject to the retention and deletion practices of Google and the applicable advertising partners.

6. Children's privacy

The app is a civics and naturalization-test study tool and is not designed specifically for children. The developer does not knowingly request names, contact details, account information, or immigration information from children.

7. Independence and official-source notice

US Citizenship Test is an independent educational study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), any other U.S. government agency, or an official testing organization. Questions are original study material and do not guarantee a passing result. Answers involving current elected officials or other time-sensitive facts should be verified using official USCIS resources.

8. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the app or its services change. The effective date will be revised when an updated policy takes effect. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to bugra.komsuoglu@gmail.com.
